Paul Hynes, President and CEO of HearthStone

Paul J. Hynes, CFP®

President, CEO, and Founder

As President, CEO, and Founder of HearthStone | Private Wealth Management, I’m dedicated to making financial security as accessible and transparent as possible. This is my passion.

I worked at a traditional stock brokerage firm for 22 years. That led me to search for a better model— one that would always put the interests of clients first. That’s why I launched HearthStone Private Wealth Management. At HearthStone we provide custom financial planning and personalized investment management. We don’t have any other agendas, such as dealing in products or commissions.

I’m also passionate about fighting financial elder abuse. Having personally witnessed the heartache and devastation brought upon a senior in my family who was victimized by a devious crook, I took action. I created “Senior Safe and Sound,” an on-line resource and blog to help educate the public and prevent financial elder abuse.

My wife, Joan and I live in San Diego and are empty nesters. Together with son Chris and daughter Lauren, we enjoy sports of all kinds, especially tennis, golf, and shooting sports. Joan and I participate in many activities, including travel, wine tasting, and stalking our two grown children around the country.
